In February, Faith
Trekkers grades 1 through 6 learned
in the different workshops (art and video) that just like
the widow and her coins, they can
give what they have and God will be pleased.
Learning from the story of the widow's mite (Mark 12:41-44),
kids came to understand that it's not how much you give, but
giving what you have. Our memory
verse was, "...43bthis poor
widow has given more than all the others. 44They all
gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in
everything she had to live on."
Our artists designed gift certificates
for the recipient of their choice, with gifts ranging from hugs
to "housecleaning with no whining."
