Passover - A Celebration of the Exodus

Click photos to enlarge

Our March lesson was Passover as told in the Old Testament.  Through a series of workshops - video (Prince of Egypt), computer lab, games, art, and a meal - our students learned the stories in Exodus leading up to the Passover, and how the freeing of the Hebrews from Egypt after years of slavery was truly a reason for celebration.

Our artists designed Celebration Dishes using decoupage techniques along with magazine clippings, photos and text to tell a story of things that make them feel like celebrating.  The dishes were used in the next rotation when we all joined together for a traditional Seder meal.
