The Story of David

You're never too small to do God's work!

In October, Faith Trekkers grades 1 through 6 learned in four different workshops (art, computers, storytelling/games, and cooking) that just like David the shepherd,

"You're never too small to do God's work!"

In Disciples Designs Artist's Studio, the kids (and grownup kids) created self portraits which encompassed the memory verse from 1 Samuel 16:7  "For the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.  (NRSV)"  Each artist's work shows the way they see themselves on the outside, then small mirrors were glued over their hearts because that's how GOD sees them!

From L to R:  Nicole (Shepherd, Grades 5-8), Shannon, Emma, Myeka, Kathryn (Shepherd, Grades 1-4), Megan, Kayla, Robin (Disciples Design Leader)
