Acknowledgement of Land
(An act towards reconciliation)
For thousands of years, First Nations people have walked on this land; their relationship with the land is at the center of their lives and spirituality. We are gathered on the traditional territory of the Coastal Salish and Puyallup people, and we acknowledge their stewardship of this land throughout the ages.

Prayer of Confession Based on Psalm 23 Ministry Matters
Good Shepherd,
we take your care for granted.
In the midst of your many blessings,
we complain of not having enough.
In the presence of danger,
we fail to trust your abiding love.
When you set a table before us,
we turn aside from you.
Call us back into your care and
help us trust your caring presence,
that our actions may proclaim your truth.
(Silence is held)
Hear these words of good news:
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us
all the days of our lives.
God forgives our failures and
calls us back into the flock. Amen!

Set apart your worship space by lighting a candle along with the video clip. The light of the candle symbolizes the presence of the Holy wherever we are.

Closing Benediction Table Benediction WOTP
Go now in the joy that you have been included.
Included at the table.
Included at God’s table.
Included in our common life.
Included in the life of God;
in the life shared by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Go in the joy of knowing that you have been included
in the inner life of the God who is Love.
Go, find joy in telling others that they too are included!
Go, find joy in bringing all to God’s table!
Do not be afraid…
for God has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.
You are included.
